Lactobacillus + Bifidobacterium

Lactobacillus acidophilus is a type of bacteria found in our intestines. It is a member of the Lactobacillus genus of bacteria and plays an important role in human health. It produces – lactic acid by producing an enzyme called lactase and this breaks down lactose, or the sugar found in milk, into lactic acid. The World Health Organisation defines probiotics as ‘live micro-organisms that, when given in adequate amounts, help maintain health. Bifidobacterium occurs naturally in the human intestinal tract, especially in the early stages of the digestive system. It plays an important role in digestion and the healthy functioning of the immune system. One of its main nutrients is oligosaccharides, which are fermented in the large intestine to help maintain the balance of the intestinal flora. The product is also supplemented with the prebiotic ingredient inulin for maximum synergistic effect.

Ingredients per 1 capsule:Lactobacillus plus Bifidobacterium: Bifidobacterium longum 450×109 11 mg., Lactobacillus acidophilus 450×109 11 mg., inulin 300 mg., colostrum 100 mg.

1 capsule contains 10 billion cultures and at least 30% immunoglobulins.
